Travel from Philippines to Singapore and other Asian countries

Singapore Tour
I started my plan tour to Singapore two weeks ahead of time before the exact departure. I make sure I have all necessary information’s such as map, transportation details, hotel, day to day itinerary plan and specially money during my stay there. I tried to researched online for the cheapest tour in Singapore but I found not an affordable price for me. Usually it plays around 25-35k. Also I asked someone like an agent in Philippine Airlines the most cheapest round trip flight ticket to Singapore and she said its around 11-12k but as per checking on PAL website online I found a big difference and its only $156 or around 7.5k so I used then to pay online. It is cheaper because I used one of their promo called Econolight that means you can only bring a hand carry bag not more than 15kilos, no amenities and no meal on board. But actually they are going to give you a free unlimited non alcoholic drinks such as soda, orange juice etc. and also peanut as well.

I planned to stay there in Singapore for 5 days and for sure you will be able to tour the entire city because its not that big. I pretty guess NCR is quite bigger than the entire country of Singapore. And take note, the culture in Philippines and Singapore have a big difference.
Anyway my budget for this tour was 20k including a part of Malaysia and Indonesia. You need to have the following if you want to get there alone or with companion:
1. Passport
2. Money PHP 20k
3. Hostel or backpackers lodge
4. Map
5. Itinerary Plan
6. Cameras
What you need to do first?
1. This is only applicable to those who have a credit card w/ credit limit more than 10,000 pesos. Go to philippineairlines.com or cebupacificair.com to choose flight details. Let say you’ve already choosed the departure and return date, just key in there your credit card info for you to be able to be booked online. Once done they will send you an electronic flight ticket and make sure you print that and show it once you check in at NAIA terminal 2 for PAL.
2. Once you already have a flight ticket, your next step would be searching for the most affordable hotel or lodge in Singapore. Based on my experienced hotel in Singapore is not quite affordable so if you are a type of person who wants meet different people from different countries I would love to refer you a backpackers hostel. The name of the hostel was Bettlebox Backpackers and they located in #200 Joo Chiat Rd. Singapore. I stayed there for 4 nights and it was a great experienced because you will feel like your at home. They offer free internet access, free daily breakfast, lockers and secured accomodations. They offer an affordable rate starting from S$20. For more information you may visit their website at http://www.betelbox.com

Joo Chiat Rd
You can do an online reservation on their website and you will receive and immediate response from their friendly staff like Justin and Micheal. Take note they offer free tour like City Cycling and Nature Walk.
3. Once you’ve already have a place to stay, its now time to plan your itenirary day to day plan guide because I did this alone. Like for example:
Day 1: Arrival on Changi Airport, ride an MRT train to Raffles Station, visit Merlions Park, ride Singapore Flyers, take a lunch, find hotel.
Day 2: Visit City Hall, Little India, Chinatown, Singapore River, Shopping day
Day 3: Sentosa Island Tour
Day 4: Johor Bahru Malaysia Tour
Day 5: Batam Island Tour, back to airport going to Manila
Just make sure you plan this so that there will be no problem for your schedule and stay there.
4. Its really hard to travel alone because again you don’t have any companion to show any emotions you have there like enjoyment, fun etc. and its really hard to take a picture alone. Sad for me T_T. But I was able to find someone to take me a picture because there alot of filipino workers or tourist there as well. You can easily distinguised if he/she is a filipino. Maybe try to invite your friends, co workers, family, love to join you in your journey.
5. Bring necessary items like clothing, beach wear, at list 2/3 digital cameras, PSP, laptop but make sure you don’t exceed up to 15kilos again if you plan to avail the PAL promo called Econolight. And remember you are not allowed to bring any perfumes, powder, astrigent, lotion, soap and shampoo in the airport, they will be confiscated there. Just buy some personal stuff once you arrived in Singapore, they are alot of convienced store there like 7eleven.
Make sure you enjoy your stay there, till then Von Voyage.
